Position Title:   Inventory Order Fulfillment Specialist

Position Summary:

The Inventory Order Fulfillment Specialist will support both the Logistics Shipping and Materials departments.  He or she will be responsible for entering customer orders, pulling/kitting materials and finished goods product from the various stockroom locations per customer or planned work orders, staging shipments of materials in and out of the facility with our outplant suppliers, inspecting and receiving of inbound inventory from vendors and maintaining overall inventory accuracy.  General responsibilities include verification of inventory receipts to packing slips and staged finished goods to pick lists, issuance of materials to the production floor, communication of shortages to appropriate personnel, investigation of inventory count discrepancies and sorting or restocking as required.  Duties must be performed timely and accurately, in a safe manner that achieves department productivity, quality and cost targets, all while maintaining good housekeeping using the principles of 5S.

Required Skills:

  • Complete all stages of order fulfillment process, including accurately picking, checking, packing and shipping orders as required
  • Replenish and maintain inventory, cleaning and straightening fulfillment center area, and assisting with other projects as needed
  • Responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled and shipped
  • Must be able to meet department KPI standards (productivity, quality, cost and pick time)
  • Ensure all raw material and components are received into warehouse in good order, moved to proper locations in FIFO order daily, and stored or moved in such a way as to prevent product damage or deterioration
  • Ability to audit, investigate and record inventory discrepancies
  • Perform cycle counts and physical inventory
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs. on a continual basis
  • Must be reliable and on time to work each day
  • Must be able to stand and walk about the warehouse throughout scheduled shift
  • Ability to perform basic math skills and measurements
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing – possessing good typing, spelling and grammar skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong computer, analytical and communication skills
  • Experience with Intuitive MRP system and MS Excel a plus
  • Proven ability to use scales to weigh count
  • Experience operating forklift, hand jacks and other warehouse equipment

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Practical work experience in related discipline or post secondary education
